Joy and happiness; it works this time!

Some very kind people on Concept Art helped me work my luddite brain around photoshop. Turns out I was just clicking the wrong save option.....

I'd appreciate any crits on this, but don't be too harsh. It's my first-ever animation and I have no lightbox. Hence poor mousey slightly changes size every frame. Done in pen and pencil.

d@mn...

your animation skills are...:star:

you should check out CAl Arts ..
an animation school in California..

they have an internship program directly linked to the studios...
the only problem is CG took over the indusry; so skills like yours aren't valued as much...
:iconjsiu123:
wow...
You got the reference of the last frame when you draw the next frame? The disadvantage of that however is your animation will look quite floaty instead of smooth, and may or may not be what you want it to be.
:icon626elemental:
Well, I tried to trace each frame over the last, but with the changes needed. Problem was that it's difficult to see exactly what I was drawing over ao parts of him flicker around... I'd like to get really smooth animation but that's not going to happen without lot's of practice and a lightbox :D

I can imagine it's harder to do it in traditional method than in digital method, which one can copy the same frame, grab the eraser tool, and draw the part that one want to change.

Good job anyways, and he's cute
