Modern Athena

Athena has always been one of my favorites but my most favorite atm is Hephaestus. I am really enjoying the extreme foreshortening that you have done here and the proportions look good although I think the head might be off with either it's size or it's position. I do think that you could play with the color of the light and shadows on her body a little more. For instance try slowly working in some blue violate over her skin on a color blend mode. Also the hocky stick and her socks should be getting some reflective green light from the grass of that shade. If you do this it would make the color of her skin more dramatic and give more depth. A took me a while to see that was an owl icon on her T-shirt mainly because I think it is that color green which just said frog to me. The horizon line is creating a small tangent with her sock so I think if you lowered that horizon line a bit and perhaps do a more blatant fish lens thing it would draw the eye and be less disruptive. I am not so sure I understand the significance of the apple unless you are mixing Christian Theology into the mix. Lastly I think that the end of her stick could use a logo that perhaps eludes to who she is, like maybe the simple of a spear and shield.
