Warning: long rambling directionless journal, with a happy ending.

Once again, I stick my head out of my cave to write a journal Things are going pretty smoothly at the moment, with the usual minor hiccups in life. My hours were severely cut at work... which is a good thing actually! I have been wishing for more free time lately, so while I'll miss the money it's probably all for the best. Besides, applying to universities, going to class, and the million other important things to do haven't left much time for art or fun stuff. Now I have the time to start working on the Avatar comic I've been planning for a while - about Iroh and his adventures! And time to play computer games for the first time in about a year.

Speaking of which, I have a couple games here to pimp: first off, ~hanakogames has finished her game "Cute Knight Kingdom"! [link] Check it out, play the demo at least. It's a fun game, with a very interesting setup. I haven't gotten very far yet but it's definitely enjoyable. I did the monster art and a few illustrations for the game, and there's a lot of talented artists who did characters, backgrounds, etc.

Second, I recently played a free demo of the game "Magic Farm: Ultimate Flower." [link] Some friends and me were bored, so we thought, 'this should be good for laughs, at least.' Never in a million years did we realize the game would be so good! Me and ~Vokana were (I kid you not) up until 2am playing it. It is ridiculously addictive, considering the whole game consists of your character growing/selling flowers.



As for squirrels, well, they just keep showing up. In the house, that is. Our cat likes to catch small fuzzy things and bring them inside for us. The last squirrel she brought in was still quite healthy and gave us a half-hour chase around the house before we caught it and let it outside. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief and figured it would be a while before she gave us any more "presents." We couldn't have been more wrong. Yesterday the cat came in carrying what looked like a dead rat. Upon closer inspection it proved to be a - barely - living squirrel. She had been flinging it about and shaking it by the head, so we thought the poor thing didn't have long to live. I took it away from her and carried it outside, and debated weather to kill it quickly or try finding a veterinarian who'd treat a rodent for free. Meanwhile, my roommate suggested putting it in a box with some nuts and whatnot. That sounded like a good idea. I put a towel on the squirrel to pick it up, and SURPRISE! It sprung out of my hands and bounced away up a tree. Happy ending for the squirrel
